PREMIER Network
Innovation
Trainee-led projects that change practice — locally, nationally and internationally.
In Wessex we recognise that working in Paediatric Emergency Medicine requires bespoke high level training. We have monthly regional training days for our PEM trainees, bringing together RCPCH and RCEM trainees as well as trainee ACPs from across the region to train together and become experts in delivering Paediatric Emergency Care.
Our training days cover clinical and non-clinical topics — technical skills, emergency procedures, leadership and human factors, mental health and adolescent care, inclusivity and diversity, team development, service improvement and business cases.
Having dedicated time for personal development and innovation within paid work time means our trainees lead exciting projects and change practice — presenting their work locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
