Winchester Guide
Everything you need to know about visiting Winchester — including how to get here sustainably.
PREMIER 2026 is a Green Conference. We are committed to reducing our collective carbon footprint. Winchester is exceptionally well connected by rail — please consider leaving the car at home.
PREMIER 2026 — Green Conference Pledge
We are committed to running a sustainable, environmentally responsible conference. This means:
- Actively encouraging delegates to travel by train, coach or bicycle
- Minimising single-use plastics and printed materials
- Sourcing catering from local, sustainable suppliers where possible
- Offsetting residual conference carbon through verified schemes
Winchester is one of England's most walkable cities and is served by excellent rail links from across the South of England and London. You really don't need a car.
Welcome to Winchester — Hampshire's medieval cathedral city and one of England's ancient capitals. Whether you're a history enthusiast or here for the food and culture, Winchester has plenty to offer before and after the conference.
Baby Friendly Conference
We have a dedicated feeding room with a live video feed so parents don't miss a moment of the programme.
The conference takes place on 9th–10th June 2026. We encourage you to make the most of the surroundings — whether that's a morning walk along the River Itchen, a visit to the Cathedral, or a meal in one of the city's many excellent restaurants.
